PHP 4 Support Ending On All Servers

Attention all Shared hosting customers,

Our servers will no longer support PHP 4 beginning May 1st, 2012.

PHP 4 has not been actively developed, or supported by the PHP developers, for several years. Many CVEs reported against newer versions of PHP are also applicable in version 4, but remain unaddressed by the PHP developers.

For those website owners who require PHP 4 in order for their custom scripts/website to work you are recommended to update/convert your code base over to a PHP 4 compliant code. To assist our customers we will continue to support PHP 4 on a case by case basis for those who may need a longer period of time to transition away from PHP 4. If you are in this situation please be sure to submit a support ticket prior to April 30 2012 .

Hosted Cubes Does Not Support SOPA

Flehx Corp parent company of Hosted Cubes does not support SOPA nor will we do any business, have any affiliation or partnership(s) with any entity that in in favor of SOPA. Flehx corp feels DMCA is enough control which provides the power to shut down websites. The fact is SOPA will NOT prevent the distribution of copywritten material since individuals will still just be able to access the content by typing in the locations IP address. Their is also the risk that an incalculable number of innocent websites could find themselves blocked behind this governments new iron curtain. Simply because  a company like Universal or Sony believe a site may be contributing to copyright infringement. Datacenters around the globe including Hosted Cubes own DC has been very compliant with DMCA requests so SOPA would just be redundant and would provide the government with the same control the likes of China has over their internet networks.

With the passing of SOPA the gov would be able to have an entire domain blocked instead of just a specific link that contained said copywritten material. Imagen if your a Forum owner having your entire site blocked as a result of just one specific post containing a copywritten image. This is blantantly a stupid idea and overpowering might as well move to China since thats where the US is heading with OUR internet.

We are happy to announce we have now made it easyer for you to use GoogleApps with your website hosting account here at Hosted Cubes.  If you are already a customer you may have noticed the“Google Apps” icon in your Cpanel hosting control panel.

Many website owners already use the powerful collaboration tools that Google Apps has to offer. E.g. calendar, docs, groups etc. Some customers also take advantage of the Google Gmail email service. Our customers have always been able to use Google Apps with their hosting account. However doing so required a support ticket to be submitted so that we can edit your hosting accounts DNS settings.  Thanks to our dedicated programmers we have been able to automate this process so that all our customers can integrate Google Apps with a few clicks using a simple but powerful new tool within their Cpanel hosting control panel.

The new Google Apps integration tool (icon) can be found under the “Mail” section of the Cpanel hosting control panel. If you would like more information on Google Apps you can open your internet browser and go to: http://www.google.com/apps.

Flehx Hosting Re-branded as Hosted Cubes

FlehxHosting.com a privately owned debt free NY USA based Hosting Company will now be known as HostedCubes .com In order to better serve our customers and separate our website development company (Flehx.com) from our hosting business, we have chosen to re-brand our hosting division as Hosted Cubes. Owner Jason Reis "I feel this new name and new website will provide better visibility for our hosting services. I believe this re-branding will enable our hosting services to be seen as a standalone service as oppose to being seen as just an add-on or part of our website development services". This re-branding also come with a change in focus for Flehx.com (our parent company) which going forward will start to offer more hosting related services instead of continuing to build websites and software systems for other companies.
